Lisa Roberts

Lisa is a qualified massage therapist and Reiki master. Lisa prefers to work in the ‘old school’ way, incorporating Asian and Pacific style body work to clear and re-energise mind, body and spirit. Lisa takes a holistic approach to wellness acknowledging the link between the mind, wairua, the human connection with whānau, and the physical world.

Lisa is a well established massage therapist. She has worked with several sports teams, including  the Wellington Saints Basketball team and is qualified at level 5 from the New Zealand College of Massage. Lisa has a passion for working with a variety of clients ranging from professional athletes, day to day ‘desk warriors’, and young men and women who need personal support.

Mat based bodywork

Inspired by traditional massage practices from Asia and the Pacific, this is strong body work that takes place on a mat. Pressure is applied along channels in the body through muscle compression, joint mobilisation, flowing strokes and yoga-like stretches. This massage encourages over all well being.

Micro fascial unwinding

When trauma happens our bodies tend to hold onto these experiences. This technique encourages the client to sink into a deep parasympathetic state, or Po. With the encouraging touch of the practitioner, the unwinding of micro fascia leads the way towards healing those stored traumas, restrictions and compensation patterns throughout the body.

Lisa has been practicing Reiki for 17years and is a certified Reiki Master. Reiki is a Japanese name to describe an ancient energy healing system which treats the whole person including body, emotions, mind and wairua creating many beneficial effects, relaxation and feelings of peace, security and wellbeing. Reiki can help ignite or replenish Mauri.

All of Lisa’s sessions take place in a relaxing, warm environment either on a mat or upon a massage table with the client can be fully clothed.
